FEW


Forum for the Empowerment of Women (FEW), established in January 2002, is a networking, empowerment and support organisation of and for black lesbians in and around Johannesburg. Our objectives include the provision of a safe space, social and otherwise, in which black lesbians can be free to express themselves, and interact in healthy, non-threatening ways; development, empowerment and skills education for black lesbians; and political representation of their interests.


Durban Lesbian & Gay Community and Health Centre


The Durban Lesbian & Gay Community & Health Centre (a project of the KZN Coalition for Gay & Lesbian Equality) offers a safe and secure space for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communitites of Durban and KwaZulu-Natal. The Centre houses an extensive resource centre on lesbian, gay, social, political, health, youth, sexuality, disability, and many other community issues; and a collection of gay, lesbian, HIV/AIDS and related clippings in its archive. These will, over time, be made available on this website under the NEWS AND POLITICS section.


Jewish OutLook

Jewish OutLook is the new South African Jewish Organisation catering for the Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual, Transgendered and Intersex Community. It has been formed by a group of dynamic individuals in the wake of the highly successful tour of the film called ?Trembling Before G-D? to South Africa along with its director Sandi Dubowski and the Gay Orthodox Rabbi Steven Greenberg. This highlighted the need to form a LGBTI Group here in South Africa.
