LGBTI community is still reeling in shock at the senseless, brutal murder of Ugandan human rights activist David Kato. Gender DynamiX mourns his death with thousands across the globe. David, a founder member of SMUG (Sexual Minorities Uganda) who openly lived as a gay man in a country where homosexuality is considered a criminal offense, died on his way to hospital after being severely beaten in his home 26 January 2011.David’s death unleashed reactions from all over the world with statements released by President Obama of the United States, US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, United Nations Development Programme. Gay and Lesbian human rights organisations across the world testified about the advocacy work David did as a teacher and advocate.
