On 6 September, Gender DynamiX met with Nodi Murphy, director of Out In Africa film festival, to discuss Gender DynamiX.  We had a very successful meeting. The goals were explained and plans were formulated to establish collaboration between the two organisations. In the past OIA film festival has already screened a variety of trans movies. The decision was made that during the 2006 festival, at least one MTF and one FTM movie per venue, oth Cape Town and Johannesburg will be showed, followed by an open panel discussion, where people who attended could discuss the topic. All together 4 transgender movies and one intersex movie, all followed by a panel discussion was screened and attended by a much higher number of people than during previous years.

OIA also invited Gender DynamiX to use from their video suitcase, to screen at support or social meetings in a way of educating people. More information about OIA film festival can be found at: http://www.oia.co.za
