This workshop is aimed at health professionals, volunteers of organisations and Human Resource managers wanting to learn about transgenderism. It was held the first time in Hout Bay, Cape Town. It is an interactive workshop making use of the personal experience and background of the people, excersises, role plays, body maps, timelines and discussions.

On invitation from the South African Sexual Health Association (SASHA) a group of psychologists, psychiatrists and other interested people belonging to the organisation’s Cape Town branch engaged in a meaningful event of dialogue regarding transgenderism in South Africa. After addressing the group, sharing the issues about the current situation and concerns experienced by Gender DynamiX there was time to answer questions and network.

Gender Diversity Awareness Seminar held on 7 May 2005 in Cape Town.
The whole drive behind the seminar is to inform and enlighten people about gender related topics and issues hardly ever talked about.
The larger LGBTI community, organisations and individuals find themselves in a space where greater awareness about gender diversity seriously needs to be addressed. Terminology surface daily without clear explanations or information available. The gender continuum is vast and it is not always possible to be captured with relevant terminology or description.
